Silver Lining

Silver Lining: A metaphor for optimism in the common English language.

It is so easy to get lost in this crazy world we are in. We live by different, different things and sometimes it is so hard to accept that we are all made perfectly unique. Problems knock us down so easily that we tend to forget the good things; how blessed we are; the people who have stood by us through thick and thin, and in the process, we lose ourselves too.

Nothing and no one will ever be perfect.

Most of the time, we think that no matter how close we look and no matter how hard we try, there is no silver lining to be found. Wrong. In everything, there will always be a lesson to be learnt. There is always something to look forward to. Don’t give up on yourself. Get up and try harder. You’ll see it will all be worth it at the end.

Those people who never stopped believing in you are real treasures. Keep them. Appreciate them. Love them.

Being scared will always be a part of growing up, a part of life. But does it really do you any good? Be strong and face whatever comes your way. Embrace differences, learn from mistakes, and love yourself more.

There will come a time where you just stop. You stop trying, you stop caring, and you just let yourself drown in your own misery. Don’t. Remember all those people who believe in you, don’t let them down. You will always be bigger than your problems. Don’t throw away your opportunities, your future and your life. You are precious. You are wonderfully made.

Now, breathe in. Breathe out.

Nothing and no one will ever be perfect.

But you are an exception.

You are perfect.

Trust yourself again and don’t be afraid. Be brave and look for that silver lining. It is there.
